Two off-duty police officers in Atlanta were arrested after an incident involving a male patron of a bull running event turned ugly.

Courtney Pollock and Ayana Taylor were taken into custody Friday at the Bulls, Bands, and Barrels event in Duluth, Georgia.

The two off-duty female officers reportedly got into an altercation with a male visitor in the VIP pit area.

Gwinnett County police officers were called to the area and asked the women to leave, but they refused, authorities told CBS News Atlanta.

Taylor then “threw a punch at a male patron in front of officers,” police told the outlet.

“They continued to behave loudly and belligerently and were arrested.”

Pollock and Taylor were booked for disorderly conduct.

Atlanta police confirmed they are aware of the arrests of the two off-duty officers and have opened an internal investigation into the two women.

“Both officers were relieved of duty and placed on administrative status,” APD said in a statement.

“The Atlanta Police Department holds all members of our organization to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and conduct, both on and off duty.”

It is unclear what caused the initial commotion.

The pit area is in addition to the event’s ticket, which gave participants access to exclusive access to the front of the stage and a private bar.
