Two people shot dead and three others injured after gunman opens fire at a Texas mall
A man opened fire on five people in Texas on Tuesday, killing two of them, police in the state said.
Seung Han Ho, 69, fired shots at K Towne Plaza in Carrollton just before 10 a.m. after police said he met his victims for a business transaction.
‘It was a well-known business associate. We are still trying to determine his causes,” said Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo.
After a brief foot chase, Ho was arrested at a supermarket four miles away, police said. The condition of the three other people injured in the shooting is stable.
Carrollton, population 130,000, is 20 miles north of Dallas. According to the US Census Bureau, more than 4,000 residents are of Korean descent.
John Jun, a member of the local community, told the Associated Press: “We are shocked.

Thanks to Korean investors, it has grown into a thriving Koreatown for the Dallas metro area over the past twenty years.
It is anchored by major corporations like H Mart and dozens of restaurants serving everything from Korean fried chicken to shaved ice desserts.
The city is also home to several Korean churches, from Baptist to Presbyterian.
