CAT-ch me if you can! Paralyzed kitten Angel bowls around on a homemade wheelchair made from a plastic bottle and toy car by his loving owner who found him lying in a puddle
- Constanza Hernandez, 37, discovered 15-day-old kitten in a puddle in Colombia
- Vets told her Angelito would have to be put to sleep because of a spinal deformity
- Instead, she nursed Angelito to full health and made him a special wheelchair
A Good Samaritan from Colombia has turned a crippled cat into a wheelchair out of a plastic bottle and a toy car.
Constanza Hernandez, 37, discovered Angelito lying in a puddle. The 15-day-old kitten was emaciated and had deformed hind legs.
Vets advised Constanza to put the little white kitten to sleep after he was diagnosed with an untreatable spinal cord defect.
But she nursed him back to health and now, thanks to the prosthetic wheels, the cat leads an almost normal life.

Little Angelito can be seen in a video struggling to crawl around wearing a diaper before his owner makes a wheelchair device
Thanks to a specialized wheelchair made by his owner, the white cat whizzed through his home in Colombia at a young age
She worked with her mom to make an awesome thing, using a plastic bottle and toy car wheels to help him get around.
In images shared by Constanza, Angelito can be seen as a kitten with a diaper and small toy car wheels attached to a sock to get around.
When he gets bigger, Constanza reveals a bigger thing made from a plastic bottle, with somewhat large toy car wheels.
The cat is seen zooming around the apartment and even going outside to walk and climb trees.
Constanza, from Neiva, Huila, Colombia, said: “Angel came at a time in my life when I questioned many things about the purpose of my life.
“I had a lot of doubts and emptiness. I felt that he had saved me.
Constanza said Angelito came into her life to give her a purpose and that he “saved” her

“He gave purpose to my life. I really feel like he was the one who saved me. He came as an angel.
“People think that animals with disabilities are unfortunate animals because they may not be able to develop like other animals, but that is completely wrong.
Angel has no idea that he has a disability.
‘He has developed normally. He is just as crazy, playful and cheerful as the rest of the kittens.
‘Every day you learn something new. He gives you life lessons. He showed me that he was always brave.
“I felt I should respond to him in the same way, be brave and accept my mission, give him a good quality of life that he deserved in response to his struggle and his will to live.”
