Darren Agee Merager, 52, who is charged with indecent exposure at LA’s Wi Spa, has a long criminal history, including burglary and trespassing, and has not registered as a sex offender
A person accused of indecent exposure by allegedly exposing his naked, semi-rigid penis to women at a Los Angeles spa has a lengthy criminal record that includes previous sexual offenses, burglaries and felonies.
On Monday, the Los Angeles Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Darren Agee Merager, 52. The LA District Attorney has filed five charges for indecent exposure.
Merager claims they are victims of transphobia and said they will turn themselves in to fight the case in court.
Neighbors, associates and court records for Merager, who was born male, paint a picture of a troubled and lawless passer-by, who avoids their parents’ conservative Riverside neighborhood and has a history of exposing herself in women’s locker rooms.
Their extensive criminal record includes three burglaries, two convictions for fornication in 2002 and 2003, a third exposure case that Merager is still contesting, non-registration as a sex offender, illegally carrying a knife, three felonies, two convictions of loitering with intent to commit a crime resisting arrest, reckless driving, driving without a license, unlawfully taking another person’s vehicle without permission and giving false identification to a police officer.
Merager, whose last known address is listed as his conservative parents’ home (pictured), has issued an arrest warrant for him that is known to be transitory
The blond, blue-eyed Merager, who weighs six feet and 200 pounds according to LAPD records, has been roaming the county of Los Angeles for years, visiting Marina Del Rey, Malibu and Pasadena.
Whereabouts records show his most recent address in April last year in Sun City, Riverside, the home of his 76-year-old mother, Brenda.
Brenda and her partner declined to comment when approached by DailyMail.com, but residents of their middle-class neighborhood said they had never seen Merager in the house.
A Trump flag flies in the wind in front of Merager’s parents’ home, a place they’ve avoided for years. LA Police describe them as six feet and 200 pounds bouncing through the county of LA. They have often been spotted in Marina Del Rey, Malibu and Pasadena.

Residents of the conservative enclave — adorned with police union stickers and Trump flags — are unlikely to sympathize with the troubled 52-year-old’s claim of “transphobic harassment.”
Transgender rights have become a political wedge problem, with Democrats largely supporting the LGBTQ minority group and Republicans often skeptical of their move and claims of discrimination.
‘You allow [trans women] to go in there [women’s spaces] and then people just claim indecent exposure and you get arrested,” Merager told the New York Post on Thursday.
“If you go to an area where you’re expected to be naked, there should be an indecent exposure exemption.”
Merager has previously told the LA courts that they have no home.
A poster released by the LAPD warning of Merager’s previous arrest for indecent exposure reads that the 52-year-old is “transient” with family in LA’s oceanfront Marina Del Rey neighborhood, close to Los Angeles. at the homeless hotspot of Venice Beach.
Merager registered a PO box in Marina in 2015, but no residential address.
The police poster shows a male-looking Merager with stubble and says they drive a black 2008 GMC Yukon.
Police say Merager is a man who pretended to be transgender to enter women’s locker rooms.
Merager was convicted of two burglaries in 2011 and 2012.
In one of the cases, they were prosecuted along with several alleged accomplices.

In 2000, Merager was convicted in two separate cases of both trespassing and loitering with intent. They were convicted again in 2001 for trespassing.
In 2002 and 2003, they were convicted of indecent exposure and then for failing to register as sex offenders in 2006.
Merager did not appear in a search of the Megan’s Law database, a list of registered sex offenders in California, or the comparable national federal database.
Merager began 2007 with a conviction for resisting arrest and was convicted that year of providing a police officer with a false identity card.
But serial criminals claimed in a recent civil lawsuit that they were physically assaulted for their lifestyle and behavior. In a civil complaint filed in a Los Angeles court in April this year, Merager claimed they were parked on a public street outside a Malibu home when the homeowner pushed them off a steep bank.
Merager alleged that Mark Falvai “demands to know why Plaintiff had parked a car in front of the property,” then “approached Plaintiff and used two hands completely unprovoked to push Plaintiff into Plaintiff’s chest.”
Defendant Falvai’s use of physical force caused Plaintiff to fall from a steep embankment between the roadway and the property, causing her physical injuries, the court said.
‘Eiser was able to climb the dike and get to safety in his locked car.’
The court papers claimed that Merager called the police who arrested Falvai. The case went out of court in August this year.
The current arrest warrant for Merager was issued after an underage girl and four adult women turned themselves in to police, alleging that in June of this year, Merager was partially erect in the women’s ward of Wi Spa, a Korean spa in downtown Los Angeles.
The incident went viral after a woman shared a video of herself complaining about it to spa staff, and even sparked an outside spa protest involving violent clashes between pro- and anti-trans activists.
Both LAPD and Riverside PD say Merager has not yet been arrested.
