A 17-year-old boy has been charged with allegedly stabbing another teen during a wild brawl on the beach captured in a disturbing video.
Police confirmed that the accused knifeman was arrested shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lismore Police Station and charged with affray and injuring a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Some try to pull the couple apart as punches are thrown, but the altercation continued and the teen in the white shirt can be stabbed with a frenzied overhead attack.
The young man was fighting for his life after being rushed to Coffs Harbor Base Hospital just after 8pm on Sunday night and is now in a serious but stable condition.
Emergency services found him with injuries to his back, abdomen and arms as witnesses desperately tried to help before paramedics arrived.
“The fight started between a number of other parties,” Chief Inspector Brendan Gorman said.
“One man intervened, then the alleged perpetrator intervened in that fight.”
After the police who broke the lockdown dispersed, street fighting broke out in the normally quiet community.
Officers from the Coffs/Clarence precinct have formed Strike Force Duper to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, police said.
The detectives seized a number of items from the crime scene and scrolled through CCTV footage for the past 24 hours.
With the graphic video circulating on social media, Coffs Harbor MP Gurmesh Singh urged those who were there or who saw it online to seek therapy if necessary.

“I would warn anyone who is sent the video not to watch it,” said Gurmesh Singh, Nationals State MP for Coffs Harbour.
“There will be a lot of young people around who need support after seeing those horrific scenes.”
Witnesses say a police vehicle was used to get the boy off the beach as paramedics battled to keep him alive.
Locals in Sawtell were shocked that their small beachfront village was overrun with teenagers on Sunday evening, with some breaking into residents’ cars and reportedly destroying property.

“The streets were crazy with kids last night!” a local wrote on the local Sawtell Facebook group.
Another added: ‘They punched a hole in the gate to the pub car park, ripped an unstoppable sign out of the ground and looked like they were trying to break into the bottle shop too.’
“It’s downright disgusting and scary to have kids these days,” said a third. ‘Stabing other people and filming and forwarding it via social media.’
The teen was denied bail and is due to appear in juvenile court on Wednesday.
