A teenager has died after choking on her own vomit while riding at a Turkish amusement park called the Kamikaze.
The family of Zeynep Gunay, 19, claims operators ignored their pleas to stop the ride after finding herself in distress on Monday.
The incident took place between 2 and 3 PM local time in the Avcilar district of Hayrola Luna Park Istanbul.
Gunay, who dreamed of becoming a psychologist, went to the park to relax while waiting for her exam results.
A final photo from CCTV footage shows the teen, dressed in a white mask, gray hijab and light, patterned jacket, sitting in the ride waiting for it to start.
Gunay reportedly fell unconscious during the ride and vomited.
Her parents claim they repeatedly asked the operators to stop the ride, but were ignored.
They also claim that, when the ride was finally stopped and she was removed unconscious, operators advised Gunay to hit “two or three times” to help her wake up.

According to Fatih Gunay, an uncle, the young woman’s family was forced to call an ambulance themselves because park officials did not take the situation seriously enough to call one.
Gunay was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Since then, she has been buried in Beylikduzu, a suburb of Istanbul.
Faith believes his niece died due to negligence and said the family would do anything to get justice.
