Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who spent most of her four years in the Trump administration for First Lady Melania Trump, has changed her mind about her once-close friend.
In a bombshell set to be released early next month, Grisham likens the ex-first lady to “the doomed French queen” Marie Antoinette – “Rejecting. defeated. Detached.’
Grisham was the only person in the Trump administration to serve as a top aide in both the West and East Wings of the White House.

Grisham’s book, “I’ll Take Your Questions Now,” also revealed that the former first lady was reportedly aware of the January 6 riots earlier than previously believed, and declined to make a public statement saying she it just minutes after her husband’s supporters broke into the US Capitol building.
Instead, she prepared for a photo shoot with a rug she had chosen.

At 1:25 p.m. that day, shortly after MAGA rioters broke through the Capitol, Grisham texted Melania asking if she wanted to condemn violent demonstrations, Grisham wrote in the excerpt obtained by Politics.
“Would you like to tweet that peaceful protests are the right of every American, but there is no place for lawlessness and violence?” she asked.
‘New.’ Melania replied a minute later, according to the book.
Grisham said the reaction “broke her.”
She left the White House shortly after during the Capitol riot.
She was the First Lady’s chief of staff at the time.
The timing of Grisham’s text to Melania also seems to cast doubt on the timeline of that day’s events at the White House.
An hour later, on Jan. 6 at 2:24 p.m., former President Donald Trump reprimanded his Vice President Mike Pence on Twitter, claiming he “didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protest our country and our Constitution.” ‘.
Meanwhile, angry Trump supporters chanted “Hang Mike Pence” in the hallways and outside.
Security videos from that day show Pence and his family being chased out of the Capitol just two minutes later.
But the White House claimed Trump didn’t know Pence was in danger.
Grisham’s report appears to contradict White House claims that former President Donald Trump was unaware that Vice President Mike Pence was in danger an hour later when he posted a tweet criticizing him.
Grisham’s memoir, titled “I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw in The Trump White House,” will be published October 5 by Harper Collins.
Grisham did not give a single press conference in her eight-month tenure as White House press secretary.
Grisham also writes that she was “shocked” that Melania shared the former president’s view that the 2020 election had been stolen.
The book will be released on October 5.
“Something bad has happened,” Melania told her regarding the election, and reportedly refused to listen to Grisham’s denials of a grand plot to remove Trump from office.
Melania has finally released a statement condemning the January 11 Capitol riots.
“I beg people to stop the violence, never make assumptions based on skin color or use different political ideologies as the basis for aggression and cruelty,” she wrote.
But in addition to condemning the violence, the former first lady also chose to denounce “lustful gossip, unwarranted personal attacks and false, misleading accusations against me – from people who want to be relevant and have an agenda.” set.
A few days earlier, on January 8, her former close friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff published a scathing op-ed lamenting her “blindness” to “the depth of her deceit and lack of decency.”
Later after the attack, Grisham writes, she asked Melania about setting up a traditional inauguration tea with upcoming first lady Dr. Jill Biden.
The event was a long tradition for incoming and outgoing first ladies.
Melania is said to have brushed off the suggestion and told her to ‘see what the West Wing is doing’.
Melania and Jill’s tea never took place.
DailyMail.com has been told that Grisham “knows where all the skeletons” are in Trump’s White House.
“She’s going for it, telling her the truth and dropping the chips where she can,” a source close to the publication told DailyMail.com. “She knows all the skeletons that are in different closets and she opens doors. But she has also been warned that the Trumps will hit back hard.”
Grisham also writes that Melania’s suggestion to schedule an inaugural tea with upcoming first lady Dr. Get rid of Jill Biden. Melania Trump broke long-standing tradition and the Trumps didn’t meet the Bidens at all on inauguration day
Grisham was once very close to Melania Trump.
The two women would often text and Melania Trump brought Grisham back to the East Wing and kept her in the Trump White House after Mark Meadows dismissed her as press secretary when he became chief of staff.
Since leaving the White House, Grisham has remained silent and there has been no indication that she would write about the Trumps, unlike former aides such as Kellyanne Conway, who had a well-known book deal on Trump’s White House.
“She has deliberately kept a low profile since she resigned from the White House. She wanted to process her experience and what it meant. Now she is looking at her experience from afar and wants people to know what the Trump White House was really like, especially as he considers fleeing again,” the publication source said.
Grisham began working in Trump’s 2015 presidential campaign as a press wrangler.
She followed the Trumps to the White House and joined Melania in the East Wing to check her communications. Grisham served as White House press secretary from June 2019 to April 2020, before returning to the East Wing as Melania’s chief of staff.
A former West Wing colleague of Grisham told Axios, who first reported the book’s publication: “When I heard this, all I could think about was Stephanie, surrounded by a lake of petrol, dying with a grin on her face. lit a match.”
Her “top secret” memoir was kept a secret until the news broke with just a month to go until its release.
A statement sent to Politico by Melania’s office has criticized Grisham personally and professionally.
“The intent of this book is clear. It is an attempt to redeem itself after a poor performance as a press secretary, failed personal relationships and unprofessional behavior at the White House. Through falsehood and betrayal, she seeks to gain relevance and money at the expense of Mrs. Trump,” her office wrote.
