Perspective | Carolyn Hax: Favoritism charge leads to rift between adopted, biological siblings
Dear Caroline: How can I get my adopted siblings to rejoin me and my other sister after a breakup in which they withdrew from us? They believed that our parents loved their “naturally born” children more, especially me, the eldest, and after a legal battle over a life insurance policy that our father gave me (because he lived with me after our mother died and I died five years before took care of him until his death), which they think was unfair, they have checked out our lives and will not respond to phone calls, emails or texts. They live far away or I would be at the door. It’s been over two years now.
