Jake Paul says he wants to fight a ‘real boxer’ after beating Tyron Woodley last month and has subsequently named Tommy Fury as his ideal opponent.
Paul defeated the former UFC welterweight champion by split decision on August 28, taking his record to four wins out of four. However, the YouTube sensation has yet to face a real boxer.
As a result, Paul is campaigning to fight Fury, believing that the 22-year-old’s “skills” and “legendary boxing bloodline” would provide him with a new challenge.

He continued: “I think Tommy Fury is probably the top of that list. He’s skilled, he’s undefeated and he’s a real boxer.
“He has about 4 million followers on Instagram, which is a good engagement. He likes the fans of his relationship show (‘Love Island’).’

Paul and Fury discussed a possible fight on August 28 while backstage in Cleveland.
Paul had just beaten Woodley, who had never done professional boxing until meeting the YouTuber.
While Fury had defeated Anthony Taylor – who was a sparring partner for Paul during pre-fight camp.

Paul approached Fury and said, ‘What’s up son, what’s right son’. To which Fury responded by saying, “Listen, you need to stop leading my friend and let’s get started.”
Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has since confirmed talks between the two sides are ongoing, but admitted that negotiations are still in the early stages.
He told iFL TV: “We’re talking right now, so hopefully something can happen, we’ll see. There is still a long way to go.’
