Manchester United supporters were outraged at manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for replacing Cristiano Ronaldo in their Champions League defeat to Young Boys.
Ronaldo, who made his first Champions League appearance since returning to United, opened the scoring after 13 minutes, but Young Boys equalized and Solskjaer opted to eliminate Ronaldo in the 72nd minute, with Jesse Lingard replacing him.
The decision proved to be a costly one, with Lingard conceding the ball late and Young Boys scoring the winner via Jordan Siebatcheu against a United side who sent Aaron Wan-Bissaka off the field in the 35th minute.

United fans were perplexed by Solskjaer’s decision to use Lingard as a false nine and many took to Twitter to express their frustration.
