Sporting great Lisa Curry took a harrowing trip to the beach on Thursday morning to commemorate a year after the death of her daughter Jaimi.

The Olympic swimmer, 59, was joined by her surviving children, Morgan, 30, and Jett, 27, and her husband, Mark Tabone, as she threw flowers into the ocean in honor of Jaimi, who died on September 14, 2020, at the age of 33.

Before her death, Jaimi suffered from alcoholism, depression and an eating disorder.

Lisa also shared a touching quote from Dr. Joanne Cacciatore Aguerke on the loss of a child, which she said summed up ‘what we cannot express’.

It read, “Remember, even if I have living children, my heart still aches for the one who isn’t – because I’m never quite complete without my child.

‘My child may have died; but my love – and my motherhood – will never do that.’
