Kamahl WAS NOT Invited To Hey Hey It’s Saturday’s 50th Reunion After Calling Out Racist Skits – But Forgives Daryl Somers For Humiliating Him On Air

Kamahl has revealed that he has forgiven host Daryl Somers for the racism he experienced on Hey Hey It’s Saturday.

But despite no ill will on his part, the 86-year-old singer told New idea he has not been invited to participate in the show’s upcoming 50-year reunion.

“I hope Daryl will invite me to be a part of it, but he hasn’t yet,” Kamahl told the magazine.

He also claimed that the veteran TV host “has not personally apologized,” despite making a public apology on Facebook earlier this year.

The Malaysian-born entertainer expressed his enthusiasm for the reunion and made it clear that he wanted to be there.

“I’d love the chance — and tell Daryl I’ll even pay for my own airfare and accommodation,” Kamahl said.

The Hey Hey It’s Saturday special for the 50th anniversary will air on Channel Seven later this year.

The New Idea interview follows Kamahl speaking out about how he often felt “humiliated” during his performances on the long-running variety show.

Then he was told, “You’re a real white Kamahl now, you know that?”
