John Terry, appeals court judge, dies at 88


After his official retirement from the appellate court, Judge Terry became a senior judge and continued to judge legal professions until he retired fully in 2016. During his years as an appellate judge, he published more than 800 opinions and wrote another 800 that went unpublished, he told the Historical Society of the District of Columbia in a 2011 interview.
