Jimmy and Tam Wilkins of The Block joke they have become ‘real trailer trash’ after moving in a caravan – after ‘conwoman’ auction scandal left their home without a buyer

Jimmy and Tam Wilkins have revealed they are now living in a caravan after being… The Block’s first ever millionaires when they won last year’s season.

Speak with Cliffo and Gabi on Hit Queensland, the pair revealed that they had only recently received their $966,000 prize money after a fake bidder turned their win upside down.

“We only got it two months ago, so it was a huge rollercoaster of whether we would get it or whether the house would sell,” Jimmy said.

The real estate purchase comes after the reality show’s $4.2 million sale of their property failed last year.

Cybersecurity expert Emese Fajk had bought the couple’s Palm Springs-inspired home at auction in November.

She did not pay and was later accused of being an “international con man” with a history of falsifying bank statements.

During an Instagram Q&A in May, Jimmy and Tam revealed that their Melbourne home in Brighton hadn’t found a buyer yet, but that they would nevertheless receive their record-breaking $966,000 prize money.

In addition to their $966,000 profit from the sale of the property, the couple won the $100,000 for winning the show — bringing them a total of $1,066 million.

The sprawling four-bedroom property at Brighton’s Melbourne home was finally sold in June for $4 million.

According to The Herald Sun, the Palm Springs-inspired home was purchased by a local family.
