In a short Instagram video, Australian interior stylist Liz Amaya revealed her top floor cleaning hacks

Bicarbonate soda on carpet

To absorb odors and stains in carpets, Liz sprinkled a small amount of bi-carb soda on the surface of the carpet using a hand-held kitchen strainer.

She left the powder on the carpet for 20 minutes and then vacuumed the carpet as usual.

Baking soda is an effective scouring powder that also works as a fantastic natural deodorant.

She then recommended using toothpaste and a microfiber cloth to remove stains from tile floors

The gentle yet abrasive action of toothpaste and cloth work perfectly together to remove stains without scratching the tiles.

For the latest cleaning hack, Liz made a lemon and vinegar floor spray by combining equal parts vinegar, lemon, and water in a bottle.

She combined the ingredients by gently shaking the bottle, then sprayed the liquid onto the dirty floors before mopping.
