An amateur home cook has told you how to make slow-cooked satay chicken for a tasty meal that the whole family would enjoy.
The home cook shared the recipe and an image with a popular Australian cooking group, saying the dish was “fantastic.”
“I made a big batch so I could freeze a bunch for my mom to take to work for lunch,” he wrote online.
For an easy meal, you’ll need chicken breast, bell pepper, onion, garlic, peanut butter, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chili paste, coriander, cumin, lime juice, coconut milk, and coconut cream.
The simple dish is easy to make and would be an idea to bulk cook for a week
First, the onion and chicken were diced and then browned in a skillet with olive oil and crushed garlic.
Then all the ingredients were poured into the slow cooker pot, stirred and cooked on low for eight hours.
The delicious satay chicken was served with boiled rice and divided into six meal prep containers for the week.
How to make slow cooked satay chicken
- 4 chicken breast cut into cubes
- 1 bell pepper cut into cubes
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 tbsp crushed garlic
- 1 jar of peanut butter
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- chili paste
- Lime juice
- 1 can of coconut milk
- 1 can of coconut cream
Brown the onion, garlic and chicken in a frying pan
Toss in the slow cooker pot with everything else and stir well to combine
8 hours on low cooking
Serve with boiled rice
