Great Britain sets record recruitment wave in last quarter

Britain sets record recruitment wave: half of UK employers plan to hire more before year-end

Half of UK employers plan to increase workforce in the last quarter

A record number of companies are planning to hire more staff before the end of the year.

To boost Britain’s recovery from the pandemic, half of employers are planning to expand their workforces in the last quarter, according to a survey by employment agency Manpower Group.

But companies face tough competition in the labor market as companies fight for new hires amid labor shortages.

The national employment outlook is at an all-time high of 32 percent, up 39 points from the end of last year, according to Manpower.

Any positive number indicates that more employers are planning to increase rather than reduce the workforce.

Chris Gray, director of Manpower UK, said: ‘The job market has come back to life in the fourth quarter.

This follows the rapid rollout of vaccines in the UK and the end of restrictions this summer.”

  • Gousto, the subscription meal company, has announced that it plans to create 250 full-time technology jobs in London by the end of next year.
