Fans are ‘stressed’ and ‘worried’ after Sam Burgess gets trapped in a wormhole on SAS Australia

SAS Australia viewers were left in fear when they watched Sam Burgess try to squeeze his hulking frame through a wormhole on Tuesday’s episode.

Many concerned fans flocked to Twitter to wonder if the 32-year-old former NRL star would fit in, despite assurances from the show’s DS (directing staff) that he would.

“What if Sam is really too big for the hole?” a concerned viewer asked.

Easily this year’s biggest recruit, staffer Mark “Billy” Billingham, advised Sam to “get yourself tall and lizard-like and go through the claustrophobic tunnel.”

But shortly after entering the tunnel, Sam panicked as he wondered if his wide body would fit through the small wormhole.

Despite assurances from Billy, 55, that he would pass, Sam remained unconvinced, citing his ‘severely damaged left shoulder’ from a career-ending rugby injury.

“Staff, I promise, I can’t get my shoulders through it,” he shouted down the tunnel.
