Cristiano Ronaldo reached 20.2mph as he ran for his second goal that led Manchester United to a 4-1 win over Newcastle yesterday.
The Portuguese attacker made his second debut for the club after leaving Manchester to join Real Madrid more than 12 years ago.
Ronaldo led the line for Manchester United and was able to score two goals on his return to Old Trafford.

He opened the scoring with a tap-in at the end of the first half, but Newcastle reacted quickly when Javier Manquillo equalized after the break.
Ronaldo then showed his speed and finishing skills as the 36-year-old sprinted astonishingly at 20.2mph to drive through the goal and put the ball through the Newcastle goalkeeper’s legs.
Later in the game, goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard sealed an incredible day for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.
In the wake of yesterday’s match, Newcastle legend Alan Shearer praised the five-time Ballon d’Or winner for his exceptional performance on Match of the day.
He said: “We all expected him to do well, we all expected him to score his goals and the performance he put in was phenomenal.
‘For 36 years, his energy and attitude is an example to any young child watching.

After the game, Ronaldo was asked about his return to Old Trafford and the sensational reception he received from the United stalwarts.
He said, ‘It’s unbelievable. When I started the game I was so nervous, I swear. Maybe it couldn’t be seen, but it was me.
“I didn’t expect to do that, score two goals. Maybe one, but not two. Of course I’m happy to score the goals, I won’t deny that, but the most important thing is the team.
