The attacker, widely regarded as one of the best in the world, will now return to Old Trafford after his £19.8 million transfer from the Italian giants was completed on the day of the transfer deadline.

Ronaldo landed at Manchester Airport in his private jet from Faro at 5:40 p.m. on Thursday and was reportedly killed, according to the Sun.

Photos from inside the mansion reveal a swimming pool, gym and cinema room for Ronaldo to enjoy with his young family before training starts next week.

He’s now nestled in the seven-bedroom rural property, with a top-notch gym, jacuzzi and six-man security patrol – allowing him to relax during his five days in quarantine before heading to club training on Wednesday.

Ronaldo was on international duty with Portugal, scoring two dramatic late goals in the 89th and 96th minutes to beat Ireland 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday.

That double saw him pass Ali Daei and become the highest international goalscorer of all time, scoring an astonishing 110 and no signs of slowing down despite being 36.

Ronaldo’s former teammate and Red Devils technical director Darren Fletcher, United officials and a security team personally welcomed him and his family to a private terminal.

The new signing will begin training next week with his new colleagues at Carrington under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was a team-mate with Ronaldo during the Portuguese’s first spell at the club between 2003 and 2009.

He then left United for Real Madrid for a then world record £80million, cementing himself as one of the best players in the world and joining the conversation as the best of all time.

After the signing, Ronaldo told the United website: ‘I have a fantastic history with this great club. I was there at the age of 18 and of course I am so happy to be back home after 12 years. So I’m very happy and looking forward to starting my first game.

“It’s the best decision I’ve made. It’s a new chapter, I’m so happy and happy, and I want to go on again, make history, try to help Manchester achieve great results, win trophies and number one of those, win great things.

“As I said before, I’m in Manchester to help the team get results and the coach can count on me for what he wants. So I’m available for anything.’

The club hopes that he can make his second debut against Newcastle on September 11.
