Margot Robbie, Gracie Abrams and Ayo Edebiri join forces to recreate the iconic viral 2017 Met Gala bathroom mirror selfie
Met Gala bathroom selfies have become something of a tradition since Kylie Jenner took an iconic photo in 2017.
And the tradition continued on Monday, when model Bhavitha Mandava took to the vanity mirror to recreate previous images with a slew of fellow stars.
The Indian model, 26, led the way in the photo, which also featured Margot Robbie, Awar Odhiang, Ayo Edebiri and members of BLACKPINK.
In 2017, Kylie set tongues wagging when she gathered a host of stars for a moment, including model Luka Sabbat, rapper A$AP Rocky, her sister Kendall Jenner, Paris Jackson, her half-sister Kim Kardashian, Lily Aldridge and disgraced rapper P Diddy.
For years, social media photos were strictly banned by Met Gala boss and Vogue powerhouse Anna Wintour, prompting stars to retreat to the restrooms to capture a few illicit selfies and videos without worrying about the consequences.

Bhavitha shared the new image with her 570,000 Instagram followers, as she caused a storm with her A-list peers making a series of funny faces.
She set tongues wagging on the red carpet after Chanel dressed the star in jeans and a blouse, in stark contrast to the dresses worn by her contemporaries.
Joining Margot was The Bear’s Ayo, Canadian-South Sudanese model Awar and BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa.
Margot was in the center of the photo, resting her head on Bhavitha’s shoulder, flashing a big smile and flashing a peace sign.
The ban on social media during the ceremony has made the museum’s gender-neutral restrooms the place to be for many guests.
Over the years, photos and videos have circulated showing celebrities like Ashley Graham, Hailey Bieber, Dakota Johnson and Cara Delevingne enjoying a raucous party in the bathrooms.

In 2023, it was revealed that presenter and Vogue editor Anna has her own bathroom to prevent the parties from taking place indoors.
The hostess of the event has a special restroom reserved solely for her use, which she employs a security guard to watch over to ensure that none of the other attendees can gain access.
“Anna has had her own bathroom for years – she doesn’t like small talk and would no doubt be ambushed by tipsy celeb fans talking about how great she is,” a Met Gala insider revealed.
