Abbie Chatfield debuted her relationship with Bachelorette star Konrad Bien-Stephens ahead of the show’s final episode in November.

Speaking to the Sunday Herald Sun this weekend, Abbie also spoke of speculation that she may have healed her split with Bachelorette Brooke Blurton, about the timing of when she went public with Konrad.

reconciled? The podcaster also revealed her surprise at the headlines suggesting she had buried the hatchet with Bachelorette Brooke Blurton (left), 27. Brooke unfollowed Abbie on Instagram after she was made public about her romance with Konrad ahead of the episode of The Bachelorette finale.
“She just followed me on Instagram again. I’ve never unfollowed her, but recently she’s followed me again, so there’s not much to that story,” Abbie said.
After Abbie debuted her relationship with Konrad on Instagram ahead of The Bachelorette’s finale in November, Brooke stopped following her.
Last month, the sex toy maker offered a public apology after being criticized by Brooke for sharing the news of her romance with Konrad the night before The Bachelorette’s finale.
Entering the conversation: “She just followed me on Instagram again. I’ve never unfollowed her, but recently she’s followed me again, so there’s not much to that story,” Abbie said.
Friends again? Earlier this week, The Daily Telegraph revealed how Brooke has re-followed Abbie on Instagram
New Love: Abbie debuted her new relationship with one of Brooke’s suitors – Konrad – ahead of November’s Bachelorette finale. The native reality TV star didn’t follow Abbie in response to the news
In a lengthy Instagram post at the time, Abbie explained her decision to go out with Konrad, claiming she believed she had Brooke’s blessing.
Brooke and I had a conversation where I apologized and expressed my regret several times for our public affection, as this was prior to Konrad’s departure from the show. Konrad had a similar conversation with Brooke.
“We should have definitely waited to be private as we are public figures and these are things we have to take into account, but we didn’t. We also did not consider the possible consequences of our actions.
“Immediately after that, we deliberately kept quiet and didn’t leave the house together in an effort to avoid being photographed out of respect for the show and to minimize the press surrounding the spoiler of Konrad’s departure.”
Sorry: Last month, Abbie publicly apologized after being criticized by Brooke for sharing the news of her romance with Konrad the night before the finale of The Bachelorette.
Abbie later shared a series of photos of herself and Konrad on Instagram the day before The Bachelorette finale, confirming their relationship.
But she insisted “it wasn’t malicious,” and fan favorite Konrad had already been removed from the show when she made the announcement.
“In retrospect, I see that this assumption was naive. I now understand that the timing of publicly sharing our relationship should have been considered more and that is my fault. I recognize that impact outweighs intention.’
Referring to Brooke’s comment about “another white woman showing what white privilege looks like,” Abbie admitted that she “didn’t take into account… the inherent privilege I have as a white woman.”

Not happy: Brooke shared her reaction without naming names, speaking of a ‘close friend’ who had drawn the focus of The Bachelorette finale with her actions
“My actions had the potential to undermine the importance this pivotal season of The Bachelorette has for First Nations and LGBTQIA+ communities,” she added.
“This is an extremely important conversation to have. In the future this will be at the forefront of my mind and I will continue to listen to and empower minority communities, and try to learn.”
She just finished the post: “I’m sorry.”
In a post on Instagram Stories, Brooke wrote: “I hate to bring it up, but personally and mentally I’ve been disturbed by all the crap that came with Finale Week.”
Angry: Brooke said Abbie’s behavior ‘hurts me’ and ‘literally hurts me’
Without naming names, Brooke spoke of a “close friend” whose actions had pulled the focus from The Bachelorette’s finale.
Brooke said the person’s behavior “hurts me” and “literally hurts.”
‘I contacted this person to resolve this ‘conflict’ that in fact, classically naive I, mature I went to this person to openly communicate about the layers of complexity that this person’s actions show and that are not only be taken from me, but what it meant to a queer woman of color,” she added.
She finished: “You’ve asked for my comment. There it is. Now go give them a little more airtime and that’s exactly what it’s about.’
Short-lived love: Konrad formed a strong bond with Brooke – the franchise’s first native and bisexual lead role – on The Bachelorette, but was cut off after house calls
Konrad formed a strong bond with Brooke – the franchise’s first native and bisexual protagonist – on The Bachelorette, but was cut off after house calls.
Daily Mail Australia published a video of the new couple kissing in a bar in Byron Bay on November 5 – before Konrad left the show.
The images not only showed them as a couple, but also served as a big Bachelorette spoiler by confirming that Konrad didn’t win Brooke’s heart.
Abbie, who had previously vowed never to speak publicly about her dating life, went official on Instagram with Konrad on Nov. 24 — the day before Brooke’s final.
The winner: Brooke eventually went on to contract landscape gardener Darvid Garayeli as her love of choice
