Timothy Olyphant returns to his Justified show with the follow-up Justified: City Primeval.

The limited series will once again feature the 53-year-old actor as US Marshal Raylan Givens.

It’s been seven years since the original show — starring Natalie Zea, Walton Goggins, Margot Martindale, and Jacob Pitts — went off the air.

The limited series was teased in March 2021, but was only recently green-lit by FX.

It starts eight years after the US Marshall left Kentucky and headed for Miami. He is now balancing his work and is the father of a 14-year-old girl.

It is not yet known if any of the other cast members such as Zea or Goggins will guest star.

But since Zea played Raylan’s ex Winona, who he shares that 14-year-old kid with, it’s likely she’ll show up as a guest star. Zea currently stars in the hit NBC series LaBrea.

Eric Schrier, president of FX Entertainment, released a statement about the adaptation based on Eleanor Leonard’s novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit.
